It’s been a long process, but finally the first stage of the on-site work for a proper toilet and shower block at the Samarpan Yog Centre for Meditation and Retreat is beginning.
On Monday 21 May our contractor will begin the work on the drainage, which is the first part of the process. The design of the toilet block has also been finalised and had approval from building control. We will be submitting the architect’s plan (below), together with the landscape and lighting scheme, to Rushcliffe Borough Council shortly, at which point all the current planning conditions will have been signed off. This is quite a significant step in the phases of development of the Ashram.
Thanks to everyone who organised and contributed to the fundraising efforts last year, to raise funds for this particular project and for the volunteers who have been working hard behind the scenes to make this project happen.
