WEEK 3 –18-24 November - A unique factor in the design of the building was the need to avoid using metal as much as possible, which would interfere with the flow of vibrations with the Hall and surroundings. A structure made from Glulam beams was chosen for the main supports. Glulam is made from laminated timber and is the natural alternative to steel or concrete. WEEK 2 – 11-17 November - Our construction work for the meditation hall and public facilities continues this week and the foundation is being prepared as well as the structural support system for the Glulam timber framework. This is being built in preparation for installation next year. At the same time, the technical detailed drawings are being prepared for the tendering for the second phase of building work that will start early next year and see the walls and roof installed...Keep up to date with Project ‘Build a future’...

Our Fire Ceremony at the Ashram this month marked the 11th Anniversary of the arrival of the Murti (Energised statue) in the UK and initiated a year of concentrated effort towards the build and inauguration of the Guru Shakti Dham by Swamiji in October 2020. Read more about the expected stages of construction that will take place to complete by then.
